Annual “Feed the Need” Food Drive Makes an Impact


Cottonwood Residential associates at the corporate office in Salt Lake City recently joined forces to conduct their 2nd annual “Feed the Need” food drive. This campaign, conducted in partnership with the Utah Food Bank, surpassed previous efforts to bring in more than 2,500 pounds of food.

“When we use ‘Home at Last’ as our mantra, it’s not just about providing apartment homes,” remarked Matt Bullock, Vice President of Marketing. “It’s about serving those who strive for better lives.”

The Utah Food Bank was an ideal partner for Cottonwood Residential, especially given the scale of its efforts to fight hunger statewide. In Utah, over 392,000, or 1 in 8, are unsure of where their next meal will come from. Last year alone, the Utah Food Bank addressed this problem by providing over 38.1 million pounds of food to those in need.

According to Susan Hallenberg, Cheif Financial Officer: “We recognize the real needs in our state and local area. It’s clear that providing over 2,100 meals is just a start. But we won’t stop there.”
