Sometimes, the best holiday stories are the ones we don’t see coming. This past holiday season, one apartment community in Peachtree City, Georgia, became the unexpected hero for families who thought their gifts were lost.
A Surprising Discovery
On December 22, just days before the holidays, Kristen Moss—the manager at The Retreat at Peachtree City Apartments—noticed a puzzling sight. More than 20 packages sat outside her leasing office, addressed to people scattered across Coweta County. These weren’t from her residents, but rather from businesses like Fanatics and Gap.
A Race Against Time
Realizing these were likely holiday orders, Kristen sprang into action. “All I could think about was how this is someone’s Holiday and they’re not going to get their package,” she shared. With time running out, she turned to social media to find the rightful owners. Her message spread quickly, and local residents began reaching out.
Finding Relief
One of those residents, Tiffany Davis, had paid for overnight shipping but never received her item. With the holidays so close, she was beginning to panic. That’s when she saw Kristen’s post. “My phone started blowing up after church,” Tiffany recalled, thrilled to learn her package had been found at Kristen’s leasing office.
Spreading Holiday Cheer
Even a month after the Holidays, Kristen continues to reconnect owners with their missing packages. While some gifts may not have arrived exactly on time, her selfless actions ensured countless families still got what they were waiting for.
Community Spirit in Action
Kristen’s story serves as a reminder that a little kindness can go a long way. Her efforts made a big difference not just for the residents of the Retreat at Peachtree City, but for the many families anxiously awaiting their holiday deliveries.
